I am very pleased with these Christmas fern rhizomes! I've tried to grow Christmas Ferns from other sellers for several years without success. I ordered 10 rhizomes and almost all of them have sprouted and grown fiddleheads and fronds. Some of the fronds are still small, but they seem to be healthy. I ordered in late spring, so many rhizomes already showed signs of sprouting or had a small frond attached. A couple of the rhizomes took several weeks before they sprouted. I am still waiting for 1 more to sprout. I think it takes more than 1 season to establish good roots and grow a full size Christmas fern. I modified the soil a few years ago, and mulched around these ferns after planting the rhizomes. They need watering regularly during the heat of summer.

The Christmas fern roots look good. They arrived 2 days ago. There were no planting instructions in the box. The description of what I bought said that “ great instructions” would be included.

Plant roots arrived on time. They have been in the ground less than a week and one is already putting out fronds. I called the nursery once with a question and left a message. Promptly received a call back. I plan on doing business with Native Wildflower Nursery in the future !
