The ferns were already greening up before I planted them today. The roots look very healthy. I've never had much luck planting just roots instead of plants, but these might just make it, LOL. I am really looking forward to seeing them grow.

The Christmas Fern bareroots arrived in very healthy condition. They were carefully packaged and still moist. They were larger than anticipated- about the size of the palm of my hand. I waited a few days for the moon to be at the right stage for planting, but they are now in the ground. I live in zone 7b in the NW. it is October now, so the timing is perfect and I’m looking forward to lush ferns to start in the spring.
