Product Description

Loblolly Pine Seedlings - Pinus Taeda

This pine tree grows best when it receives sunlight for six hours throughout the day. It benefits from a consistent sun source. It also does well in moist, sandy, wet, and clay soil. The loblolly pine tree is versatile and can withstand moderate drought and flooding to a great degree. These unique trees are unique because of their flexibility and ability to adapt quickly. They can be transplanted with ease and are known to assimilate with various conditions of the soil easily. Once fully grown, it is unique and stands out from the other trees because of it's twisted, dark and yellowish needles. It also has cones that are dry and range from being three to six inches long. Over time the tree will lose many of its lower branches, making it great for shade. Generations will appreciate your planting efforts years after you are gone.

The Loblolly pine tree is an essential part of the ecosystem for wildlife throughout North America.

It provides shelter for birds, turkeys, small rodents and other nesting animals. Loblolly, meaning ‘depression’ was used to describe the unique parts of the ground that the tree can be found to grow in. It is frequently available in abandoned areas or parts of a forest that are underpopulated. The tree has also been found to grow near rivers and is native to the east coast of the USA. The Loblolly Pine is absolutely one, if not the most, critical coniferous trees in the US. Hardy in zones 6-9 this evergreen needled tree reaches 60-90 feet in height and needs full sun for best results. Great windbreak trees and also trees used for fencing.

These seedlings are 6-12 inches tall at time of shipment. Ready to plant.
